Water Conservation Request Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development

Due to the hot weather many areas in British Columbia are experincing drought conditions including the West Kootenay's.  The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development have sent out a letter to all of the Lower Columbia and West Kootenay Basin Water Licence Holders since many of these areas are experiencing water shortages and drought conditions.

Click on this link to the Water Conservation Request that the GID has received.  At this point of time we are keeping with the current Level 1 Sprinkling Regulations, however the GID would like everyone to know that this could change and we will notify everyone by sending out a flyer.

To be notified immediately of any changes please SignUp for Alerts on our home page on the right hand side of the page.  Notifications will be sent out via text message or by email.
